Susan Calman’s first book told of how she has dealt with depression at various stages of her life. The follow up comes after her stint on Strictly Come Dancing and tells of how she is trying to promote joy and kindness after pushing herself outside of her comfort zone.
There are various acts of kindness outlined in the book, som coming from audience members at her shows. Whether these acts are big or small they show there is still good in the world and I am all for embracing that!
This was a lovely way to start off the New Year. I had long stopped looking forward to the start of each year with any sort of enthusiasm but this book, at least, brought back a little hope.
