Last Tuesday while at the train station for my regular chat with Stuart at the ticket office, someone asked if they were allowed to stand on the platforms a while as there was a steam train due! I really like to see steam trains, there’s something about them, mostly the smell, I think.

I messaged dad with the details and he popped along with his camera to hang out on one of the platforms. A couple of his photos are below, along with his “test” shot of a passing Transpennine Express train. I also took all his photos and made them into a couple of gif animations. There’s also a bit of footage I shot from the top of the station steps with my phone.
